Worms and Flockers firm expands its services with new base in Nottingham

Team17 opens European publishing office

UK firm Team17 has opened a dedicated office for its European publishing business following a string of new partnership.

The new location will handle all publishing and commercial activities for both Team17’s own games and any indie titles it helps to bring to market. The office will be based in Nottingham.

The Worms creator returned to third party publishing last year and has already announced a score of deals to bring Hey Ewe, Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark, Overruled!, Penarium, The Escapists, and Light to multiple platforms in 2014.

Managing director Debbie Bestwick said: "We’ve been staggered by the number of indies that have approached us and even more so by the services they require. Simply put, traditional publishing cannot deliver what Team17 can.

"Opening a publishing office gives the publishing side of the business a separate identity and will sharpen our focus even further. We are actively recruiting for commercially-minded and innovative publishing personnel across a number of areas to help build upon 2013’s record-breaking year."
