Imangi-developed title sets new record as fastest-growing mobile game ever

Temple Run 2 speeds past 50 million downloads

Temple Run 2 has become the fastest-growing mobile game to date, surpassing 50m downloads in just under two weeks on iOS and Android.

The now record-setting title hit the milestone 22 days ahead of Rovio’s Angry Birds Space across iOS, Android, PC, and Mac.

"Temple Run has evolved into something so much bigger than us," said Imangi co-founder Keith Shepherd. "The game has performed beyond our wildest dreams."

Imangi’s sequel released January 17th on iOS, and racked up 20m downloads in just four days. It landed on Android a week later, and has dominated the charts on both Apple’s and Google’s app stores since launching.
