Summit will focus on advanced Android programming techniques

TIGA and ARM hosting free developer day

Trade body TIGA and tech giant ARM have teamed up to host a new event for games developers.

Simply called the ARM Gaming Developer Day, this summit will be free-to-attend and centres around advanced coding techniques for making Android games using ARM’s architecture.

The event will be held on Tuesday, October 28th at the Cumberland Hotel in London from 9am to 6pm, and will include Q&A clinics with ARM’s engineering team.

Android is the largest mobile gaming market, claiming 80 per cent of smartphone and tablet users around the world. Research also shows that app revenue is growing faster on Android than on iOS.

Sessions throughout the developer day will teach attendees about ARM’s muticore programming, best practices for using the OpenGL ES 3.1 API, how to get the most out of ARM’s Mali GPUS and more.

The full agenda can be found at the Eventbrite page, where developers can register their place.

ARM is keen to make the summit as useful as possible, so developers are invited to review the agenda and send feedback to Gemma.Paris@arm.com
