Bethesda creative director to be honoured at 20th D.I.C.E awards

Todd Howard to be inducted into the AIAS Hall of Fame

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) has named it’s 22nd Hall of Fame recipient, and it’s Bethesda’s creative director Todd Howard.

Howard is often described as integral to the success of Bethesda’s open-world RPG titles like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.

"I know that many of us in the industry have spent countless hours enthralled in the vast, open worlds that Todd has created," said AIAS president, Mike Fischer. "He’s made us all reconsider the player-game relationship and extended the storytelling possibilities of our medium."

Howard will be presented with the award officially at the 20th D.I.C.E Awards on February 23, 2017. He’ll join previous winners like Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, Valve boss Gabe Newell and strategy master Sid Meier.
