Middleware and Tools section to double in size

Tokyo Game Show expands middleware event

This year’s Tokyo Game Show will feature a larger focus on middleware and game tools, ITMedia reported yesterday.

The newly rebranded Business Solutions Corner will feature 24 exhibitors, double the amount of last year’s event. It expands in line with the rest of the event, which will be the largest to date with 162 companies displaying their products to the public and industry across four days.

This year’s TGS will also be taking a more international flavour with companies from Holland, Sweden and Thailand exhibiting for the first time, in addition to the concurrent Game Connections Asia event for Japanese and Western developers.

The event takes place from the 20th to the 23rd of September, with the first two days reserved for business visitors only.
