Students to be given a glut of production software

Train2Game partners with Microsoft BizSpark

Distance learning service Train2Game is partnering with Microsoft’s start-up programme BizSpark.

The Microsoft programme, which provides software, support and visibility for software start-ups, will work with Train2Game to give ongoing support to students, graduates and indie studios associated with the service.

This new partnerships means T2G will operate as a representative of it students in the BizSpark network, fast-tracking them through sign-ups. The service is looking to establish new relationships with technology organisations in the UK and across the globe, and aims to passed on any benefits to its students.

Students will have access to the latest Microsoft technology, including Virtual Labs, Webcasts, videos and elearning materials. Software will also be provided, and will contain Microsoft Office, Windows Phone, Windows Azure, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Cloud and a Windows 8 developer licence.

“Train2Game are always looking for new and exciting initiatives that will encourage our students to take steps towards becoming games developers,” said Train2Game’s Jan Telensky.

“Working with BizSpark will create networking and professional partnerships that are vital to helping the students take those essential steps from leaving the academic area of the games industry and moving towards professional employment.”
