Illuminate Labs releases new rendering and baking software.

Turtle 4 goes live

Next-gen rendering and lighting tool Turtle 4 is now available online, software developer Illuminate Labs has confirmed.

This latest version of the software sees Turtle’s advanced polynomial texture map functions evolving into a generalised light baker, allowing users to collect detailed information on static and dynamic light.

The Turtle software has been available since 2003 and is currently used by companies such as SCE, Nintendo, EA and Valve.
