Chinese developer listed as one of 100 â??most promisingâ?? Asian tech companies

Ultizen recognised in Red Herring 100

Shanghai-based developer and outsourcer Ultizen Games has been given a Red Herring 100 award, recognising it as one of the most promising private technology companies based in Asia.

"This has been an outstanding year for UltiZen Games," said, UltiZen Games’ CEO Lan Haiwen. "Due to client demand, we have grown from a 27-person studio to a team of 350, and we are in the process of building a new studio in Suzhou and expanding our existing studios in Shanghai and Beijing to accommodate at least 100 new hires.”

Ultizen was recognised for its ‘high quality, comprehensive offering of game development and game development outsourcing services for North American, European and Japanese companies’, according to a statement released by the Red Herring editorial board.

“In addition, in October of this year, UltiZen was the first China-based gaming company to develop and launch an Xbox LIVE Arcade game – a tremendous accomplishment for our company as well as the gaming development industry in China," added Haiwen.
