Richard Wilson welcomes 'ground-breaking' institution

University of Huddersfield joins TIGA

The University of Huddersfield has become the latest member of games development trade association TIGA.

Huddersfield was ranked joint first out of all Yorkshire universities for high quality staff and lectures in the Opinionpanel Research survey in 2007.

The univesity boasts an impressive record in graduate employment, its very own games development studio Canalside Studios, and a celebrity Chancellor in Patrick Stewart.

“University of Huddersfield’s approach to games development education is ground-breaking," said TIGA CEO Richard Wilson.

"By allowing students and staff to become fully immersed in the development process the University is able to offer industry access to graduates who already have in-studio development experience under their belts. This is a huge advantage to industry and graduates alike."
