Developers using Unreal Engine 4 can now build games specifically for Ouya.
The Ouya team announced via the official UE blog that the latest iteration of Epic Games’ powerful games engine now fully supports the microconsole.
"The fork of the Unreal Editor has built-in support for the Ouya SDK from Blueprints making Ouya Everywhere and Ouya In-App Purchases available to coders and non-coders," the team wrote.
Also available are documented examples for virtual controllers, IAPs and an Ouya-optimised version of the Tappy Chicken sample project.
Developers will need an Unreal Engine subscription and their Unreal account linked through GitHub in order to download the Ouya fork of the Unreal Engine. For more info, head to the UE4 blog.
