David Perry, John Smedley and EAâ??s Nanea Reeves to keynote

VCON offers online social focus at GDC

A full-day event dedicated to online, social and games-as-a-service will be integrated into this year’s Game Developers Conference.

The second day of GDC will be presenting VCON, a unique event that will discuss the industry’s disruptive move into emerging service-based business models.

Gaikai CEO David Perry, Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley, and EA’s Global Online COO Nanea Reeves are set to offer keynotes at the key event.

Speakers will include an appearance from RedOctane co-founder Kai Huang, marking his first appearance since Activision shuttered the studio.
