Mo-cap specialists adds two new models to its family of products

Vicon’s latest cameras introduce high-definition motion capture

Vicon has launched a duo of motion capture cameras that aim to providing clearer performance data than ever.

The company claims the new Vue is "the industry’s first full high-definition synchronised video camera", promisng the sharpest image from your motion capture sessions. It has also been designed to ensure the optical and video views are perfectly aligned so that no details are missed.

Meanwhile the Vero builds on the firm’s flagship Vantage model and is positioned as "an affordable system suited to a wide range of applications". The camera’s onboard sensors constantly monitor the devices position, temperature and performance and features a custom-made variable focus lens. 

Vero is available in a variety of models, including 1.3 megapixel and 2.2 megapixels forms, all of which are compataible with existing Vicon products.

“The launch of Vero and Vue continues our ongoing commitment to delivering flexible yet powerful solutions to the motion capture community,” said Vicon CEO Imogen Moorhouse. “The intuitive Vero system delivers more pixels for its price, making Vicon high-quality motion capture more efficient and cost effective.”
