VIDEO: LA Noireâ??s eye-popping performance capture

Rockstar has released more extraordinary footage of the technology the drives its upcoming crime title, LA Noire.

The project, in development at Australian studio Team Bondi, features striking facial animation brought about by a motion-capture system called motion scan.

That technology, developed at Sydney-based Depth Analysis, is extensively flaunted in the video below.

The four-minute clip features commentary from Oliver Bao – Depth Analysis head of research – and Team Bondi founder Brendan McNamara.
