Be amazed by one of the most sophisticated animation systems ever

VIDEO: LA Noire’s quantum leap in animation

Rockstar has at last released the latest trailer for 1940s crime thriller LA Noire, Developed at Sydney-based studio Team Bondi.

The video can be found below.

Comprised entirely from in-game footage, the trailer again demonstrates remarkable motion camera technology that lends incredible realism to the characters.

The striking facial animation is brought about by a motion-capture technology called motion scan, developed at Sydney-based Depth Analysis.

It’s said that in-game players will be able to make judgements about a character’s truthfulness simply by examining the expression on their faces.

In September the Australian Game Developer’s Association speculated that Team Bondi’s title has enjoyed one of the largest development budgets ever.
