Voice services now available as Unreal Engine 3 integration

Vivox joins Epic’s IPP

Vivox has joined Epic’s Integrated Partners Programme.

The agreement means that an implementation of Vivox’s voice services for online games will be available for Unreal Engine 3, to be supported and updated by Vivox.

Developers wishing to use UE3 will now have an immediate, tested and fully-supported access to the tech, which is used by companies such as NCsoft, CCP and Sony Online Entertainment.

“Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 powers many of the best known games on the market. We’re pleased to contribute to their commitment to innovation, and we’re proud to be part of the high-quality solution they offer,” said Rob Seaver, CEO of Vivox.

Dr. Michael Capps, president of Epic Games, added: “Working with top partners like Vivox and integrating their technologies into Unreal Engine 3 further provides our licensees with the best development tools available. Their breadth of features, operational excellence and ability to scale has made Vivox a market leader in voice services for games, and we welcome them to the Integrated Partners Program."
