Wargaming opens Tokyo publishing office

World of Tanks developer Wargaming has opened a new publishing office in Tokyo, Japan.

The office is the company’s 15th around the world, with other branches is countries such as Russia, Singapore, USA, France and Ukraine.

Staff at the new branch will focus on publishing duties such as marketing, public relations, customer service and customer support for World of Tanks as it launches the MMO in the country.

The new office will be headed up by general manager Yasuhiro Kawashima.

"As Wargaming continues its global expansion, there’s no possible way we can ignore the importance of the Japanese market," said Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi.

"Besides being one of the major video games markets in the world, it’s also a place where free-to-play gaming is growing by leaps and bounds.

"We’ll be staffing our new Tokyo office with the best and brightest from the country, all with the goal of providing our players there with an incomparable customer experience.”
