Danish outfit Deadline Games set to close; board states the developer could not fulfil its financial obligations

Watchmen dev files for bankruptcy

Speculation of financial problems at Danish studio Deadline Games is over; the developer has filed for bankruptcy.

Based in Denmark’s capital Copenhagen, Deadline was the group responsible for titles such as Watchmen: The End is Nigh as well as the applauded, two-way drinking Max-Payne-em-up Total Overdose.

According to Boomtown report, the company’s board members have decided that the developer is no longer able to fulfil its financial obligations.

Deadline Games was established in 1996. The firm had two known projects in development – Faith and .45 – yet no publishing partner was sought for either.
