The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain and the International Game Developers Association are joining forces to hold an event about getting into the games writing industry.

Getting Started as a Games Writer, which takes place on the evening of December 3rd, will feature a panel discussing how they got into the industry, how they’ve managed to stay in it and some of the oddities of the job.

Confirmed to appear so far are Rhianna Pratchett (Overlord, Heavenly Sword), Andy Walsh (Prince of Persia, Risen), James Swallow (Deus Ex 3, Maelstrom) and Tom Jubert (Penumbra, Lost Horizon).

The event takes place at London South Bank University, in the Keyworth Theatre A on Keyworth Street (location details here). Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7pm start.
