Hello Games' Dan Gray joins mobile outfit as producer

Whale Trail dev launches dedicated games studio

Whale Trail developer Ustwo has launched a new dedicated games studio.

Called Ustwo Games Studio, the mobile outfit has been joined by three new hires, including former Hello Games dev Dan Gray, who joins as producer.

Other appointments include ex-Spicy Horse art director Ken Wong as visual designer and former Rebellion staffer Ian White, who will take up the position of 3D artist.

The newly branded London-based studio’s first game is puzzle title Blip Blup, in which users must colour in all the tiles on screen in as few pulses as possible.

“We’re not looking at limiting ourselves to a specific genre of game or audience – our aim is to experiment and innovate,” said Gray.

“Complimenting our gaming experience with Ustwo’s core visual design and user experience heritage, we’re committed to making the best mobile gaming experiences for players. Blip Blup is a great example of our approach, offering a uniquely designed puzzle experience in both free and premium flavours, both featuring over 120 unique challenges.”
