Audience grows for Microsoft's latest OS

Windows 10 reaches 75m installs

Windows 10 has been installed on over 75m devices, Microsoft has announced.

The figure is spread across 90,000 “unique PC and tablet models,” along with 192 countries around the world, according to Microsoft’s blog.

The post adds that more than 122 years of gameplay has been streamed from Xbox One to Windows 10 devices. The new Windows Store has proven to be relatively popular as well, garnering six times more app downloads than Windows 8.

Microsoft’s new OS is currently offered as a free update for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 devices.
