Wish Studios recruits new art director

Brighton-based developer Wish Studios has hired Paul Abbott as its new art director.

Abbott has previously worked at The Creative Assembly as lead environment artist and also at Relentless Software as senior artist.

“Wish is a highly-creative and fast-moving studio, and we’re delighted to add Paul to our senior team,” said Wish Studios CEO Caspar Field.

“Paul has an incredible ability to craft and share an artistic vision, and his open-minded attitude fits perfectly into Wish’s cross-discipline approach to game development. He’s a great guy and we’re excited to be able to grow Wish with Paul to steer the company’s artistic vision.”

Formed last year by Caspar Field, CCO Tom Bennett and CTO Paul Brooke, Wish Studios develops for mobile and console platforms, and is currently working with Sony to craft a prototype for a new IP.
