Greg Street joins League of Legends studio as lead game designer

WoW lead systems designer joins Riot

League of Legends developer Riot has picked up a new lead game designer, Greg Street.

The former lead systems designer for World of Warcraft left Blizzard last month, and only revealed his new job by changing his Linkedin Page.

Street didn’t specify what title he’d be working on at Riot, and told well-wishers on Twitter that he felt “the appropriate thing” for him to do was to “lie low for a while.”

This suggests Street is working on something Riot wants to keep under wraps, and there have long been rumors that Riot is looking to build a second game.

Street was with Blizzard for nearly six years before his departure. Before that he was lead game designer on Ensemble Studios’s Age of Empires III.
