xaitMap and xaitcontrol to add features such as NavMesh generation and pathfinding

Xaitment releases Unity-specific AI plug-ins

Tech outfit xaitment has released two AI plug-ins developed specifically for integration into Unity’s development platform, it has announced.

The add-ons include xaitMap and xaitControl, which the AI firm says “brings the full spectrum of xaitment’s AI functionality to the interface and development environment”.

Features of the software include NavMesh generation, pathfinding, collision avoidance and graphical character behavioural modelling.

“There are a growing number of game studios, simulation developers and educational institutions that are working with the Unity engine,” said xaitment CEO Mike Walsh.

“Until now, we‘ve only been able to address their needs with the full versions of our software. With the plug-ins, we now have two great products that give Unity engine users all of our AI tools, at a fraction of the cost.”
