XLOC Reveal 4.0 API

XLOC has enhanced its 4.0 version with the addition of an XLOC API, allowing users to directly integrate their own proprietary programs with XLOC during development.

The API provides a mechanism for other tools and programs to make use of the XLOC management tech. Automation can be applied to tasks so that a studio’s API becomes an integrated part of the system.

“Developers can now create or update strings in their own development environment, which will automatically sync to the XLOC system, providing immediate translation availability. Developers can also integrate fetching into their build process to use the latest translated assets,” said XLOC CTO Mason Deming.

“We have already used this mechanism successfully to provide a custom context-sensitive checking tool to interface with one of our MMORPG clients.”
