Microsoft has updated its XNA Game Studio Express tool to let users share Windows and 360 binary files.

XNA GSE gets binary boost

The incremental update introduces the XNA Packager utility, which lets share games for Window and Xbox 360 with other users without having to share their source code.

XNA Game Studio Express is a C#-based development framework aimed at students and hoppyists and lets users create PC and Xbox 360 games.

To share 360 games, as encouraged by the update, users need to be paid-up members of the XNA Creators Club.

The new update also makes the XNA software officially compatible for Windows Vista and introduces font support, support for 3D audio using XACT and other performance-enhancing tweaks.
