Looking to hire 30 staff for its new Pune office

Youzu Interactive open new Indian office

Chinese online and mobile games publisher Youzu Interactive has set up a new office in India, and claims that it is looking to invest up to $10m in the developing Indian games market in 2017.

Youzu Interactive also plan to bring in 30 recruits for its new Pune office, which is being lead by Anuj Tandon, who previously worked as Nazara Games’ head of mobile game publishing and marketing.

This news broke to Economic Times, where Tandon said that Youzu was looking to create four to five casual strategy and social casino games for the Indian market, and would eventually be looking to release RPGs, hardcore strategy and midcore titles in the country, in addition to eying up potential acquisitions in the area.

“Youzu is dedicated to grow globally and India is a mobile gaming market which is maturing fast," said Tandon. "We are looking to create and publish local as well as international content for India’s growing smartphone population."

Youzu are currently one of China’s largest publishers and last year acquired German online and mobile games outfit Bigpoint.
