Casual development community experiences huge growth

YoYoGames hits 100,000 user landmark

The YoYoGames.com development community has attracted its 100,000th visitor within ten months.

The site gives away a free Lite version of the popular Game Maker software and gives a space for users to share their creations with the community at large.

"We’re very excited about this landmark" said Sandy Duncan, CEO of the UK-based startup.

"Registered users may represent less than ten per cent of our traffic, but they’re very special to us. These are the guys making games and generating the content that makes YoYo what it is. We believe we’re now the biggest casual games developer community anywhere in the world, and that’s pretty amazing."
