Indie studio to use morpheme for upcoming project

Zen Studios licenses NaturalMotion

NaturalMotion’s tiered pricing structure has allowed Zen Studios to license NaturalMotion’s morpheme tech for an unannounced XBLA and PSN title.

Oxford-headquartered NaturalMotion offers different licensing costs for its range of development solutions, giving smaller indie studios the kind of access that a high-profile in-house team could afford.

Hungary-based Zen Studios will take up that offer to use NaturalMotion’s animation middleware, morpheme, on a game project set for digital download.

“Our tiered licensing model met Zen’s need for world-class animation on PS3 and Xbox 360, whilst accommodating the different revenue profile of non-retail content,” said NaturalMotion sales VP Andy Payne.
