E3 could switch venue in 2016

LA Convention Center ‘no longer a top-tier property’.

E3 could move away from its Los Angeles home in 2016, according to the president of the event’s organiser the Entertainment Software Association.

As reported by CNBC, Michael Gallagher said that the LA Convention Center is no longer a top-tier property” for what he called a "world class" show.

"The time to make this decision is relatively short," he said. "We’ll consider all cities that can improve the experience."

The ESA has been here before of course. In 2012 Gallagher said it could move the event in 2012 over issues with construction works at the centre, but eventually agreed to stay at the venue until 2015.
