Epic Mickey: The Power of Two US sales dreadful

Warren Spector’s original vision of a four-game Epic Mickey saga may be relegated to a pipe dream.

The LA Times reports the Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two sold just 270,000 copies in the US by the conclusion of last year. In comparison, the first Epic Mickey moved 1.3m in around the same time frame.

The game scored poorly on Metacritic across all platforms, scoring a 64 per cent on Wii and only a 59 per cent on both Xbox 360 and PS3.

Disney has yet to make any official announcement regarding the fate of the franchise going forward.
