Final Fantasy XV coming to PS4 and Xbox One

Square Enix has revealed that the freshly announced Final Fantasy XV will be released on both PS4 and Xbox One.

The game has been in development for over seven years for current gen machines under the name Final Fantasy Versus XIII but is now due for release in 2014.

It adopts a darker visual and stylistic approach to recent FF outings and mixes gothic settings with more modern city locals. The UI is minimalistic and traversing the environment appears to be quite dynamic.

In fact, this might be the most action orientated FF game yet, eschewing the series’ traditional turn-based combat. Square itself describes the title as an action RPG.
