GameStop CEO says PlayStation VR will launch in the autumn

The boss of a leading games retailer has suggested that Sony’s PlayStation VR might arrive as late as autumn of this year.

Sony’s device, previously known as Project Morpheus, is currently due out some time in the first half of 2016. However, speaking in a Fox News interview as spotted by Videogamer, GameStop CEO Paul Raines has said that his company will be launching the headset this fall”.

Sony’s big rivals are both due on the market in the coming weeks.

HTC’s Vive, otherwise known as Steam VR, will be released in April. The price for that will be revealed at the end of the month. Oculus rift, meanwhile, starts shipping next month with an RRP of 500.
