GTA V is officially announced

A logo and a date for the trailer. That’s all we’ve got. But Grand Theft Auto V has, for the first time, been officially announced.

Rockstar has confirmed, too, that the first trailer for the game will be released on November 2nd.

And that’s it. The only other thing we have to go on is the logo we’ve been presented with.

The style of the ‘V’ would appear on first glance to ape the design of the font used on an American banknote. Money, wealth, corruption – those are themes you could apply to any GTA game.

Could it hint to a San Andreas-style hip-hop theme? Quite possibly. But we’re sure many people will come up with far more creative guesses than that in the days until we see the trailer.
