Rock Band 4 developer and co-publisher Harmonix is asking for whopping $1.5m to bring Rock Band 4 on PC.
The company has turned to crowdfunding platform Fig to raise money for the title. This new SKU is set to release on Steam at the end of 2016.
The crowdfunding effort – which can be found here – will last for 35 days. At the time of writing, the PC SKU of Rock Band 4 has raised $21,822 of its rather sizeable goal.
In a video (below), Harmonix says that it is bringing back user generated content to the PC edition, and is reviving the Rock Band Network via Steam Workshop.
Sales figures for Rock Band 4 are yet to be revealed, but according to Mad Catz the title enjoyed ‘strong’ sales, which were ‘lower than originally forecast’. The title launched for PS4 and Xbox One in October 2015.
"This past October, we released Rock Band 4 for the consoles – the first new Rock Band release in 5 years," the page reads.
"This was a massive undertaking for us as an indie studio, but we somehow pulled it off. We’re thrilled at the reception to the game so far, but we’re not done yet – the Rock Band 4 team is still hard at work, and they’ll be spending all of 2016 expanding and updating the game."
