Infinity Ward teases alien-focused Call of Duty: Ghosts mode Extinction

Infinity Ward has teased what will apparently be a new mode featuring aliens in Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Polygon reports Infinity Ward released a teaser video for Extinction, which shows smoke transform from the title’s skull logo into the face of what would appear to be an alien.

The site further reports that an unidentified source posted several shots of the new mode on an Imgur (image hosting) account.

The screen captures include a loadout screen that details different classes and weapons, as well as show specific challenges – like taking no damage or recording pistol kills only.

Beyond the tease, the developer has yet to make any official statements about the mode.

Call of Duty: Ghosts releases next week on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. It’s also expected to be part of the launch lineup for both the PS4 and Xbox One.
