AUSTRALIA: Dark Sector banned down under

Dark Sector has been refused classification by the OFLC, Australia’s classification board.

According to IGN, the third-person action game has been described by the board as a violent and sometimes gruesome game with a sinister storyline and ominous outcome. The violence and aggression inflicted upon the protagonist is of a high level, naturalistic and not stylised at all.”

The game’s Australian publisher AFA Interactive, told IGN: This is not the end of the line for the game, just a pretty substantial, but temporary, set-back.” It is expected that the game will be altered and re-submitted to the OLFC.
