E3 08: Warhawk Trophy patch arrives tomorrow

In the midst of the E3 media frenzy, Warhawk game director Dylan Jobe has confirmed that tomorrow will see the arrival of the 1.4 Warhawk patch, and with it will come PS3 Trophy support, as well as a host of new game modes.

Speaking on the PlayStation Blog, Jobe added that the Trophies will be retroactive – meaning that if a gamer has already fulfilled Trophy criteria pre-update, the relevant Trophies will automatically be unlocked.

There are ten trophies based on current stats, ranks and awards and these ten are retroactive. This is largely due to the fact that we have this data stored on our global Warhawk Server Cluster.

There are 34 other Trophies that are entirely new ‘goals’ and should provide players with plenty of new challenges. And yes, Operation: Omega Dawn, Operation: Broken Mirror, and possibly a new something have new Trophies as well. Each booster pack has an additional four unique Trophies.”

Also included are numerous back-end tweaks, two new gameplay modes, a Quick Join Match option and support for the yet-to-be released PS3 Home. And what’s more, the update will be free.

The 1.4 patch should be available at 10:00 UK time on July 16th.
