JAPAN: DSi sales top 3m

Nintendo’s DSi has sailed past the 3m unit sales mark in Japan, Kotaku reports.

In total the machine has sold 3,062,920 units as of August 2nd. It first went on sale in the region on November 1st last year. Total DS sales in the territory now stand at 27m.

The DSi is the third iteration of Nintendo’s twin screened machine. It improves on its predecessor, the DS Lite, by introducing two digital cameras, bigger screens and an SD card slot.
