SONY: Final Fantasy XIV showcased

Square Enix has shown a brand new trailer of online RPG Final Fantasy XIV during Sony’s E3 conference.

Sony America president and CEO Jack Tretton said: After their hard work on Final Fantasy XIII, I’m excited to bring to you this brief video of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIV.

This is one of the biggest titles heading to PS3.”

The trailer highlighted a range of new characters, locations and monsters in the popular Final Fantasy series.

Payment models and a release date are yet to be confirmed, but players can expect to pay a monthly subscription for the title.

Final Fantasy XIV will be released on PC and PS3 later this year.
