4GB Xbox 360 S confirmed

Hot on the heels of its official announcement regarding the UK price for Kinect, Microsoft has also confirmed the details of the long rumoured ‘cut-price’ Xbox 360 S SKU.

Officially called the Xbox 360 4GB, the machine will include in-built wi-fi (a feature some had speculated would be culled in the cost-cutting drive) and will retail for just 149.99 – 10 less than the current RRP of the entry-level Arcade machine.

The 4GB of memory will be on-board, meaning consumers are free to add a Microsoft hard drive to the machine at any time. It will also boast a matte finish as opposed to the Xbox 360 S’ shiny design.

It will launch in the UK on August 20th and in the US on August 3rd.

A bundle including the 4GB console, the Kinect camera and a copy of Kinect Adventures will also hit retail, carrying an RRP of 249.99/€299.99/$299.99. No launch date has yet been announced.
