Nordic IP acquisition continues with dtp Entertainment grab

Yet more intellectual properties have been scooped up by Nordic Games.

The company has acquired some of dtp Entertainment’s IPs including The Moment of Silence, The Mystery of the Druids and Curse of the Ghost Ship. It has also taken over the commercial use” of Overclocked and 15 Days.

Nordic has been on somewhat of an acquisition spree. Having moved to snap up brands from the likes of DreamCatcher and JoWood it famously added to its stable by swooping for a number of big name THQ titles last year including Darksiders, Red Faction, Stuntman, Full Spectrum Warrior, Destroy All Humans, MX vs ATV, Supreme Commander, Frontlines, Juiced and Titan Quest.

It subsequently added De Blob and the THQ trademark itself to its catalogue.

With said IPs, the portfolio of our adventure games division (The Adventure Company) gets a considerable increase,” Nordic’s business and product development director Reinhard Pollice said. As adventure games are not only very close to our hearts, but also an important focus of our brand strategy, we will make good use of these new opportunities.”
