Ouya is the most successful Kickstarter of all time, breaks 3 records

Headline-hitting console upstart Ouya has become the most successful Kickstarter of all time.

At the time of writing the campaign stands at $5,047,737 from a total of 39,592 backers. And this is with 21 days still to go.

This means Ouya beats previous Kickstarter record-holder Double Fine Adventure, which raised $3,336,371. The third highest Kickstarter campaign in inXile entertainment’s Wasteland 2, which raised $2,933,252.

It’s the third Kickstarter record claimed by the console having already become the fastest campaign to reach $1m (eight hours and 22 mins) and the campaign to raise the most in a single 24 hour period ($3.2m, up from $1.9m).
