Persona 5 squares up to Final Fantasy XV in September

Atlus has announced the much anticipated release date for its next RPG hit Persona 5.

The game will be released in Japan on September 15th. What’s most notable is that this means it’ll hit shelves just 15 days before Square Enix unleashes Final Fantasy XV on the nation. Who will win? Sony, for sure.

One thing Atlus hasn’t announced is a release date for the game in the West. Question marks have been asked about whether the game will launch outside of Japan at all following the company’s recent fallout with NIS America.

All eyes, in this instance, turn to Sega. You’d think the huge amount of excitement surrounding the game on Western social media will ensure its arrival in Europe and the US.
