Starbreeze says Payday 2 Xbox One fix may not arrive until the end of the year

Overkill, the Starbreeze studio dedicated to the Payday series, has promised to fix the online problems troubling the Xbox One version of the game.

Many players are even now still struggling to get into online games, some three months on from the game’s release. The issues will be resolved, Overkill say, but maybe not until the end of the year.

Sorry for the late update. I know you guys have been waiting,” producer Almir Listo said in the video you can see below. We know you guys are having issues with matchmaking in the game. It’s frustrating for us but it’s obviously even more frustrating for you.

We’re making some radical changes to how the matchmaking works in payday 2 in order to make sure that you in a simple way can join games. We’re working on these changes right now and we hope to add them as soon as possible and no later than the end of the year. We’re sorry that it’s taking so long.”
