VIDEO: Transformers Universe transforms from MMO to MOTA

No, that’s not a typo. Transformers Universe is not a MOBA. It’s a MOTA.

For those not in the know, MOBA is a common term and means Massively Online Battle Arena, the best known examples of which are League of Legends and DOTA II.

MOTA, meanwhile, stands for Massively Online Tactical Action, and is new a term being coined by Jagex to describe its new vision for former MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) game Transformers Universe.

The Jagex-Hasbro title has been in development for some time and has seemingly shifted its focus to try and keep up with the times. Currently it’s scheduled for a summer launch.
