UPDATED: EA details Mass Effect 3 pre-order goodies

GameStop has revealed two exclusive in-game items that will be given to all who order Mass Effect 3 from the retailer in the US.

The first is the N7 Valkyrie Assault Rifle, which for non pre-orderers will only crop up in the game as a rare black market icon.

The second is the N7 Defender Armour, which channels the suit’s energy into each weapon shot for an additional power boost. It also increases ammo capacity and armour strength.

In addition, those who buy the game digitally via EA’s Origin store will get a free AT-12 Raider Shotgun.

The weapon fires a large pellet spread, ensuring maximum coverage for close-range targets”. It is also designed for superior rapid fire, the AT-12 allows for optimal recovery time between shots”.

UPDATE: EA has confirmed that the GameStop DLC will be exclusive to GAME customers in the UK. All European gamers who pre-order the title will also receive the AT-12 Raider Shotgun, just as in the US.
