Animations, cinematics and trailers sought for demo reel

Autodesk opens dev submissions for GDC expo

Middleware giant Autodesk has begun its search for content to flaunt at its GDC booth.

The tools vendor will host a Games Show Reel at the San Francisco event in March, and is calling on developers to submit their projects for it to demonstrate on the expo floor.

Anything built using Autodesk development tools are eligible. Tools include Scaleform, Beast, HumanIK, Kynapse, Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage, MotionBuilder and Mudbox.

Autodesk wants to see cinematics, trailers, in-game sequences and animations created with the tools.

The company said it is “especially interested in HD video and imagery for inclusion in its 2012 marketing materials”.
