F1 2011 ad gets Champions League debut

Codemasters is to use ITV’s Champions League coverage to propel its upcoming console and PC title F1 2011 into the public limelight.

The game’s debut 30” TV ad will be aired on the evening of Wednesday September 14th during ITV’s Champions League match.

EA recently used the heavyweight Premier League clash between Manchester United and Arsenal to air its first FIFA 11 clip. And what a match to choose – United’s 8-2 drubbing of the struggling North London team ensured high viewing figures.

Codemasters is also running the largest TV campaign it has ever instigated in the UK to promote the game. Cinema ads will run alongside The Inbetweeners. Print, online and radio advertising is also planned.

F1 2011 will be released in the UK on September 23rd.
