Modern Warfare 3 blown wide open

If you want to maintain any element of surprise about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 then look away now.

Kotaku has landed a major scoop in obtaining a huge gallery of images and plot details about the yet-to-be announced title.

Infinity Ward, Raven Software and Sledgehammer are all co-developing the title.

Starting with a supposed release date for November 8th, the site goes on to reveal that the game will take place in a dozen cities around the world including London, New York, Paris and Berlin as well as countries including Dubai and Somalia.

It begins at the moment Modern Warfare 2 finishes, with the US coping with the surprise Russian attack. An incredibly detailed plot analysis can be found on Kotaku.

Its structure will resemble its predecessors complete with vehicle sections and will clarify some loose strings relating to a number of key characters from the game. It will also introduce two new faces to the franchise – Frost and Sandman.

Multiplayer will be boosted with the addition of two new Spec Ops modes – Survival and Mission.
