MCV AWARDS: EA crowned Best Publisher

EA walked away with the coveted Best Games Publisher title at tonight’s MCV Awards event in London.

It marks an impressive double for the company which also claimed tonight’s PR Team award. EA enjoyed a strong 2010 with a host of chart-topping releases and has got off to a flyer in 2011, with shooter Crysis 2 currently on top of the UK Charts.

The award was collected by UK marketing boss Stuart Lang sales director Rob Davey.

Codemasters’ racer F1 2010 was named as the year’s Sales Triumph while Sega’s renewed focus on its digital games offering saw it named as the Best Digital Distribution Team.

The other winners were Gem (High Street Distribution Team) and Nintendo (Sales Team).
